Cletus Jimerson
Mr. Cletus K. Jimerson Sr., age 52, of Salamanca and Newark, New York died Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Buffalo General Hospital, Buffalo, New York following a long illness.
Born on October 28, 1960 in Warren, PA, he was the son of the late Wilbur and Lillian Pierce Jimerson.
Mr. Jiemrson was a member of the Seneca Nation of Indians and the Bear Clan. He was a descendent of Cornplanter.
He was a graduate of Pal-Mac High School in Palmyria, New York, where he played football.
He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing, and watched lacrosse and baseball. He was also an auto racing fan.
Surviving are: 1 daughter, Sylvia Jimerson; 1 son, Cletus K. Jimerson Jr.; 2 sisters, Justin Pierce and Harriet Lee Hanna, Knox, PA; 1 brother, Jerome (Barbara) Jimerson, Marion, NY; 2 grandchildren, Jeffery Wright and Abbey Gwen Jimerson; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister, Gwendolyn E. Jimerson.
Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Tuesday afternoon, November 13, 2012 from 4 – 7 p.m., at which time funeral services will be held with Rev. Marvin Abrams officiating.
Burial will be in Hillside Haven Cemetery, Steamburg, New York.
