Colleen Frailey
Mrs. Colleen Frailey, 79, of Steamburg, NY died Saturday afternoon, October 7, 2017 at the Bradford Manor, Bradford, PA following a long illness.
Born November 28, 1937 in South Valley, NY, she was the daughter of the late Clinton and Cynthia Jimerson. Mrs. Frailey was married July 1, 1972 in Warren, PA to Mr. Gordon Frailey, who predeceased her in 2001.
She was a graduate of Salamanca High School Class of 1955 and had been employed with Sylvania in Warren, PA for over 30 years, retiring in 1988.
She was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians and the Wolf Clan, and was a past member of the Red House Indian Chapel and the First Baptist Church in Randolph, NY. She enjoyed spending time with her family and caring for her pets. She spent time in the outdoors, enjoyed golfing as well as bowling, and had an interest in music, playing both the guitar and organ.
Surviving are: two stepchildren, Sharon (Ed) Marr, Victor, NY, Jeffrey (Michelle) Frailey, Warren, PA; five step-grandchildren; a brother, Vernon “Barney” (Nancy) Jimerson, Pt. Charlotte, FL; several nieces and nephews; her faithful dog, Natasha.
She was predeceased by five sisters, Rosine Mohawk, Vera Baker, Delores Oldshield Bowen, Ruth Bova, Elenora Bova Bowen, a brother, Wilbur Jimerson.
Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Tuesday from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., at which time funeral services will be held with Winfield Bowen of the Red House Indian Chapel officiating.
Burial will be in Hillside Haven Cemetery, Steamburg, NY.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association and the American Diabetes Association.
