Constance Arlene "Connie" Jacobson
Constance Arlene “Connie” Jacobson, 79, of Salamanca, NY, passed away Monday, March 18, 2024 at Olean General Hospital following a short illness.
Born August 6, 1944 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Pauline Nelson. She was married to Frederick Jacobson, who survives.
She had a fulfilling career. She had been employed at the former Salamanca Hospital, worked as a home healthcare aide for several years, was employed by Lance and Lane Hoag, and most recently worked at Worth W. Smith until her retirement at the age of seventy-five.
Connie was always loving, selfless, kind, and strong. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her beloved husband and grandchildren, reading, gardening, and crocheting. Connie will be remembered for her dedication to her family, her kindness, and her strength. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Surviving besides her husband of 54 years are: her daughter Lisa (Mark); her son David; five grandchildren, Hailey (Tyler), Zachary, Alexis, Nicole (Jeremy), Victoria; nine great-grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter; three sisters, Patricia, Jacalyn, Sandy (Ronnie).
She was predeceased by her younger brother Harry “Butch” Nelson and her firstborn child, Thomas Jacobson after he was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident caused by a deer just two weeks apart.
Per her request, there will be no visitation or funeral services.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be sent to The American Cancer Society, 1120 S Goodman Street, Rochester, NY 14620.
