Cora Boutwell

Cora E. Boutwel, age 62, of Great Valley, New York died early Tuesday morning, November 25, 2008 at Olean General Hospital, Olean, New York following a long fight with cancer.

Born on August 11, 1946 in Nelson Township, Pa she was the daughter of the Ivaline Allen Brace, Salamanca, New York and the late Chauncey Brace.

Mrs. Boutwell was employed at Bush Industries in Little Valley for over 17 years.

She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Franklinville, New York.

Cora enjoyed collecting unicorns and dolls, listening to country music and her favorite time of year was christmas.

Surviving are: a daughter, Melissa (Philip) Good, Williamsburg, Va; a son, Nelson "Skip" Boutwell, Humphrey, New York; 3 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; 4 brothers, Chauncey (Pat) Brace, Salamanca, New York, George Brace, Indianapolis, Indiana, Cleo Brace, Salamanca, New York, George Brace, California, LaVerne Brace, East Otto, New York; 7 sisters, Ivaline Hefner, Terssa (Doles) Giles, both of Mansfield, Pa., Grace (Donald) Weaver, Salamanca, New York, Lavina Brace, Salamanca, New York, Rosa Chapman, Salamanca, New York, Connie Brace, Indianapolis, Indiana, Florence (Larry) Maupin, Indianapolis, Indiana; several nieces and nephews. Her companion of 15 years Mr. Phillip Vaughn, Bear Hollow Rd, Great Valley, New York.

She was predeceased by a sister, Amanda Tice, 3 brothers, Bernard Brace, Jesse Brace and Stanley Brace.

Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Saturday from 1:00 P.M. - 2:00 P.M. at which time funeral services will be held with Pastor Samuel Stall of Free Methodist Church , Salamanca, New York officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Great Valley Ellicottiville Ambulance Service, Roswell Park Cancer Institute or Donors Choice.

Burial will be in Green Cemetery, Great Valley, New York.
