Cora G. Emborsky
Mrs. Cora G. Emborsky, age 76, of State Park Avenue, Salamanca, New York died Saturday evening, April 5, 2008 at Olean General Hospital following a short illness.
Born on March 7, 1932 in Salamanca, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Isabelle Johnson Burlin. She was married in Salamanca, New York in 1976 to Mr. Leo Emborsky who survives.
She had been self employed in home health care for over 15 years retiring in 1983. Previously she had been employed as a secretary with Cattaraugus County in Little Valley, New York.
Mrs. Emborsky was a member of the Ladies of Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars John F. Ahrens Post #5296, Salamanca, New York. She was an avid reader.
Surviving besides her husband are: 2 sons, Lee (Florence) Harrison, Steamburg, New York, Russell (Toni) Harrison, Great Valley, New York; 2 stepdaughters, Marcie John, Salamanca, New York, Janet (Lance) Oaks, Olean, New York; 3 sisters, Evelyn Parson, Great Valley, New York, Beverly Fuller, Killbuck, New York, Nancy Milspaw, Jamestown, New York; 2 brothers, Fred Burlin, Utica, New York, Robert Burlin, Salamanca, New York; 18 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son, Daniel Harrison and a sister, Carol DePonceau.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 1 -3 P.M. at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York at which time funeral services will be held with Pastor Michael Peters of Koinonia Christian Church officiating.
Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca, New York.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the S.P.C.A.
