Dale Sayers

Dale E. Sayers, a.k.a. “Fat Indian”, 39, died Thursday evening, July 20, 2017 at the Erie County Medical Center surrounded by his family following a long illness.

Born March 30, 1978 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Stanley Sayers and Sheila Sayer Sayers, of Oneida, NY. He was married on December 12, 2009 to the former Tamera Baker, who survives.

He was an enrolled member of the Oneida Nation.

Surviving besides his wife and mother are: two sisters, Shelly (Wally) Vaughn, Salamanca, NY, Barb (Al Lechthaler) Sayers, Palmyra, PA; a brother, Matthew (Ginger) Grimes, Franklinville, NY; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may attend a memorial visitation on Monday, July 24th from 4 – 7 p.m. at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca, NY.

Burial will be in Hillside Haven Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
