Dana Jimerson
Mr. Dana J. Jimerson, age 48, of Division Street, Salamanca, New York died Saturday morning, August 20, 2011 at The Absolut of Salamanca, New York following a long illness.
Born on December 19, 1962 in Salamanca , New York he was the son of the late Lester and Hazel Thompson Jimerson.
He was a graduate of Jamestown High School Class of 1981.
Mr. Jimerson was employed as a Union Iron Worker in Baltimore, MD for over 5 years and also worked construction in Hamburg, New York.
He was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians and of the Turtle Clan. He enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. He had played and enjoyed watching lacrosse.
Surviving are: a son, Alexander Jimerson, Gowanda, New York; 6 brothers, Michael (Shirley) Jimerson, Anchorage, Alaska, Ronald (Judy) Jimerson, Gordon (Connie) Jimerson, both of Steamburg, New York, David Jimerson, Salamanca, New York, Merle Jimerson, Salamanca, New York, Patrick Jimerson, Salamanca, New York; 3 sisters, Debra Hoag, Salamanca, New York, Vicki Jimerson, Olean, New York, Penny (Aaron) Minner, Salamanca, New York; several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Denise Mohawk, Gowanda, New York.
He was predeceased by a brother, Alan Jimerson.
Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M.
Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday morning at 10:30 A.M. with Rev. Marvin Abrams officiating.
Burial will be in Hillside Haven Cemetery, Steamburg, New York.
