Daniel Jimerson
Daniel Jimerson, age 73, of 44 Seneca Street, Salamanca, New York died Tuesday (July 1, 2008) at his home.
Born on July 25, 1930 in North Collins, New York he was the son of the late Samuel and Francelian Printup Jimerson. He married the former Clara Boutelle Jimerson, who survives.
Mr. Jimerson was an erolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians and the Turtle Clan.
He was a lifetime member of American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post #535, Veterans of Foreign Wars John F. Ahrens Post #5296, former Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #1002, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Falconer, NY and American Legion, Falconer, New York.
He was employed at Acu-Rite Inc. in Jamestown, New York retiring in 1981.
Surviving besides his wife are: nine children and may grandchildren; 1 sister, Rose Covert, Steamburg, New York; several nieces and nephews.
A private military funeral service was conducted by members of the American Legion Post #535 and Veterans of Foreign Wars John F. Ahrens Post #5296. Keith McClaine and David Heron conducted the service; a closing prayer was recited in Seneca by George Heron.
