Daniel O'Neil
Mr. Daniel “Buzzy” O’Neil, age 55, of 84 East State Street, Salamanca, New York died Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at Fiddlers Green Manor, Springville, New York.
Born on December 18, 1953 in Salamanca, New York he was the son of Joyce (Pete) Wallace O’Neil Ambuske, Great Valley, New York and the late Jack O’Neil. He was married in Salamanca on August 18, 2005 to the former Candace Sampson who survives.
Mr. O’Neil was employed as a Bartender at the Holy Cross Athletic Club. Previously, he had been employed at the American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post #535 and he had owned and operated O’Neil Insulation.
He was a member of the Holy Cross Athletic Club, a member of the Sons of the American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post #535 and Veterans of Foreign Wars John F. Ahrens Post #5296 Men’s Auxiliary. He enjoyed sports, fast pitch softball, and camping at Gumpsville.
Surviving besides his wife, mother & step father are: a son, Corey O’Neil, Salamanca, New York; a daughter, Caitlin O’Neil, San Diego, California; 2 brothers, Timothy O’Neil, Salamanca, New York, Shawn (Jean) O’Neil, Salamanca, New York; 2 nephews.
There will be no visitation.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at 12:00 P.M. noon in the United Congregational Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Lonto, pastor of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, officiating.
Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society or the donor’s choice.
