Daniel W. Letson

Mr. Daniel W. Letson, 73, of Erie Street, Salamanca, New York died Saturday afternoon, August 2, 2014 at Bradford Regional Medical Center, following a short illness.

Born July 30, 1941 in Salamanca, New York, he was the son of the late Merritt and Florence Nepereny Letson. He was married to the former Nancy Eaton, who survives.

Mr. Letson was a graduate of Salamanca High School.

He had been employed as a finisher, retiring at Philadelphia Furniture Company in 2004. He had also been employed at the former Fancher Furniture Company, Ethan Allen, and Salco Fixtures in Salamanca.

He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and working in his garden. The light of his life was spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving besides his wife are: 1 daughter, Dawn Foster, Salamanca, NY; 3 sons, Jeff Letson, Jamestown, NY, Jamie (Carie) Letson, Salamanca, NY, Eric (Deborah) Letson, Randolph, NY; 8 grandchildren, Michael Foster, Salamanca, NY, Ashley (Nicholas) Rhinehart, Cattaraugus, NY, Brittany Foster, Cattaraugus, NY; Erik Letson, Michael Letson, both of Randolph, NY, Jacob Letson, Georgia Letson, both of Salamanca, NY, Eyvonne (Kevin) Dahlbeck, Jamestown, NY; 4 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Diane (Herman) Spengler, Salamanca, NY; several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at a time to be announced.

Arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Bradford Hospital Foundation’s Hospice Fund, PO Box 1228, Bradford, PA 16701-1228.
