Darla Gordon

Mrs. Darla J. Gordon, age 63, of West Loop Road, Jimersontown, New York died early Saturday evening, October 18, 2008 at her home following a long illness.

Born in Walla Walla, Washington on JUne 9, 1945 she was the daughter of the late Royal Gordon and Gertrude Jackson Claflin.

Mrs. Gordon was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of indians and the Wolf Clan.

She attended Jimersontown Presbyterian Church and was an avid singer.

Surviving are: a daughter, Genevieve "Jenna" Johnson, South Main Steet, Salamanca, New York; a brother, Lon (Cathy) Johnson, Academy Street, Salamanca, New York; a sister, Trudi Claflin, Lakeland, Fla.

She was predeceased by a brother, Craig "Butch" Claflin.

There will be no visitation.

A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in Hillside Haven Cemetery, Steamburg, New York and will be announced.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York.
