Darren W. Cooper

Darren W. “Pub” Cooper, 32, of Buffalo, NY, formerly of Coldspring, NY, died unexpectedly early Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Erie County Medical Center, Buffalo, NY.

Born June 23, 1991 in Olean, NY, he was the son of Darren Cooper, Coldspring, NY and Sheila Redeye-Johnson, Salamanca, NY.

He was a graduate of Salamanca High School, Class of 2009.

Darren enjoyed singing with the “boys”, playing lacrosse, and loved all sports. He was a member of the Allegany Singers Society and the Allegany Arrows Box Lacrosse Team.

Surviving besides his parents are: a daughter, Ensley Cooper, Jamestown, NY; a son, Linx Jones, Akron, NY; maternal grandmother, Ethel Miles, Limestone, NY; paternal grandfather, Robert Cooper, Salamanca, NY; two sisters, Megan (Hunter) Church, Little Valley, NY, Skylar Landon, Buffalo, NY; a brother, Nick (Shannon Detweiler) Cooper, Olean, NY; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Leon Redeye, paternal grandmother, Yvonne Brooks-Cooper, paternal great-grandfather, Wilson Cooper.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Friday, March 29, 2024 from 7 – 9 p.m. and Saturday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Monday, April 1, 2024 at 10 a.m. with members of the Coldspring Longhouse officiating.

Burial will be in Hillside Haven Cemetery, Steamburg, NY.
