David J. Thompson

David J. Thompson, 41, of Little Valley, NY died unexpectedly Wednesday, February 9, 2022.

Born October 19,1980 in Olean, NY, he was the son of Gail Cooney Thompson, Little Valley, NY and the late Frederick Thompson.

He was a high school graduate who attended Salamanca High School.

David had been employed as a Foreman with MJ Painting Contractor Corp., Olean, NY for over five years where he supervised large oil refinery painting projects. He also operated his own painting business.

He enjoyed his family, the outdoors, camping, hiking and four wheeling. Like his father, David was very mechanically inclined and could fix or repair almost anything. He will be remembered for helping anybody who needed it.

Surviving are: a sister, Sarah Meiser, Boulder, CO; a brother, Andrew (Tonya Nichols) Thompson, Conewango Valley, NY; a nephew, Carter Thompson; several aunts, uncles, and many cousins.

A memorial service will be held in the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 1 pm with Rev. Michael Lonto officiating.

Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Salamanca, NY.
