David Keith

David G. Keith, age 63, of Hillview Homes, Salamanca, New York died Thursday morning, January 29, 2009 at the Olean General Hospital, Olean, New York following a long illness.

Born July 20, 1945 in Salamanca, New York he was the son of the late Donald Brown and Bonnie Keith Serna.

Mr. Keith was employed in farming for several years on different local farms. He enjoyed the outdoors.

Surviving are : his companion, Linda McClune, Salamanca, New York; several grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 9 sisters, Ila Meacham, Alma Meacham, Donna (John) Sample, all of Jamestown, New York, Jessie (Leon) Manning Sr., Ella (George) Keith, Bonnie Brown, Brenda (Kenneth) Caswell, all of Salamanca, New York, Kathleen Whorton, Kentucky; 10 brothers, Clifford (Sharon) Keith, Blockville, New York, Donald (Judy) Keith, Falconer, New York, George (Ella) Keith, Herbert (Sue) Brown, both of Salamanca, New York, Kevin (Dorothy) Brown, Olean, New York, Thomas (Kelly) Brown, Conawango Valley, New York, Richard (Carol) Brown, Salamanca, New York, Robert Brown, Springville, New York, James Westerfield, Dunkirk, New York, Robert Whorton, Kentucky; many grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by 2 sisters, Betty Meacham, Wilma Reed, 2 brothers, Farland Keith, Richard Keith and a great nephew, Thomas Zeth.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Monday from 12:00 noon to 1:00 P.M. at which time funeral services will be held with Pastor Donald Acker, of the House of Prayer, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society.
