David Kincaid
Mr. David Kincaid, age 63, of 283 Wildwood Avenue, Salamanca, New York died Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Olean General Hospital, Olean, New York following a long illness.
Born on January 6, 1947 in Springfield, Ohio he was the son of the late Stanley & Nila Marie Irvin Kincaid. He was married on August 14, 1985 in North Chicago, Illinois to the former Wanda Nash who survives.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, where his last assignment was the U.S.S Yellowstone. He was awarded 3 Good Conduct Medals, Meritous Unit Commendation, and the National Defense Service Medal, serving from 1964 – 1986.
Mr. Kincaid served as the past Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars John F. Ahrens Post #5296 from 1994-95.
Surviving besides his wife are: 2 daughters, LaGina Wilson, Eugene, Oregon, Denise (Tracy) Tulodieski, Norfolk, Va.; 2 sons, David Kincaid Jr., Eugene, Oregon, Ray Bryant Jr., Norfolk, Va.; 8 grandchildren; 5 brothers and 1 sister, including, Burt (Darlene) Carpenter, Salamanca, New York; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Friday evening from 7-8 P.M.
Full military honors will be conducted by members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars John F. Ahrens Post #5296 & the American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post #535.
Entombment will be in Rosewood Memorial Park in Virginia Beach, Va.
