David P. King

Mr. David P. King, 71, of Brockport, New York died Friday (February 26, 2016) at the Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, New York

Born in Salamanca, New York he was the son of the late Paul and Florence Myers King. He was married on June 8, 1968 to the former Judy Norton who survives.

Mr. King was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam Conflict.

He was a graduate of Oklahoma State University.

He had long career in the field of product warehousing and distribution and was most recently employed by Harris Corporation (formerly Exelis) in Rochester, NY. Mr. King was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed travel and spending time with his family.

Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Dan (Roxanne Polizzi), Piffard, NY; son, Paul (Jennifer Abeles), Williamsville, NY; grandsons, Jonathan, Ryan & Aidan; sister, Ann (Bailey); niece, Kimberly; and nephews, Patrick, Matthew and Andy; uncle, Chuck Oyler; and, many cousins.

He was predeceased by his brother, John.

Friends may attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday (March 2,2016) at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Peace with the Rev Peter Napierkowski, as celebrant.

The O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca, New York.

Full Military Honors will be conducted by members of the American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post # 535 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, John Ahrens Post # 5296
