Dean Judson Cole
Mr. Dean Judson Cole, age 91, of The Pines, Machias, New York formerly of Yorkshire, New York died Monday evening, February 28, 2011 at The Pines.
Born on July 17, 1919 in Colden, New York he was the son of the late Franklin and Sally Rouse Cole. He was married in 1946 to the former June Weber Cole who predeceased him in February 2010.
Mr. Cole was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Pacific Theatre during WWII.
He was self employed as a logger for over 40 years.
Mr. Cole was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He enjoyed being in the outdoors and golfing. He spent the winters in Northport, Fla. with his late wife.
Surviving are: 2 daughters, Louise Lopes, Cape Cod, MA., Carol (Gary) Fudyma, Salt Lake City, UT.; a son Judd (Bette) Cole, Great Valley, New York; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a sister, Betty Barten, 2 brothers, Dick Cole and Jack Cole.
Friends may be received at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Ellicottville, New York on Thursday from 1-2 P.M. at which time funeral services will be held with Rev. William Kay, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Glenwood Maltby Memorial Cemetery, West Falls, New York.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the donor's choice.
