Debra J. Redeye

Debra J. Redeye, 67, of Kill Buck, NY died Monday evening, November 17, 2025 at The Pines of Olean, NY following a long illness.

Born November 27, 1957 in Olean, NY, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Phoebe Oliverio Redeye.

She was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians and of the Heron Clan.

She was a graduate of Salamanca High School, Class of 1975.

Debbie had been employed with the Seneca Nation of Indians in the Tero Compliance Division for over 10 years and had previously worked in the Seneca Nation Museum and One Stop. She was very active in the Seneca Party.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and spending time in her home. She enjoyed travelling, doing beadwork, and was an avid Miami Dolphins fan.

Surviving are: a daughter, Natalie (Roger Phearsdorf) Simons, Kill Buck, NY; three granddaughters, Kaya Pierce, Salamanca, NY, Clarissa John, Delilah Phearsdorf, both of Kill Buck, NY; three grandsons, Clayton Jimerson, Steamburg, NY, Asa John, Salamanca, NY, Blake Simons, Mansfield, NY; a great-granddaughter, Rosie Jimerson, Steamburg, NY; a sister, Barbara Redeye, Kill Buck, NY; three brothers, Clifford (Beverly) Redeye Jr., George Redeye, both of Kill Buck, NY, Douglas (Bobbie) Redeye, Salamanca, NY; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, Carl Simons, a grandson, Austin Jimerson, sister, Cheryl “Channy” Redeye.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Friday, November 21, 2025 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., at which time funeral services will be held with Augie Beyer officiating.

Burial will be in Horseshoe Cemetery, Carrollton, NY.
