Dennis L. Brooks

Mr. Dennis L. Brooks, 42, of Route 417, Killbuck, New York died Monday morning (June 9, 2008) shortly after being admitted to Olean General Hospital, Olean, New York.

Born on July 11, 1965 in Gowanda, New York he was the son of Marlene Kettle Brooks, Killbuck, New York and the late Clifford Brooks Jr.

He was employed by Operating Engineers, Local #17, Hamburg, New York for the last 15 years.

Mr. Brooks was a member of the Tonawanda Band of Seneca's, a member of the Wolf Clan, Coldspring Longhouse, Beagle Club, he enjoyed snow snake, hunting, archery and he was a lacrosse fan.

Surviving besides his mother are: ex wife, Christina John, Killbuck, New York; 3 daughters, Cheyenne Brooks, Terri Brooks, Krista Brooks, a son, Clifford D. Brooks IV, all of Killbuck, New York; 4 sisters, Rhonda George, Salamanca, New York, Joni (Jeff) Brooks Jamison, Irving, New York, Mona Logan, Killbuck, New York, Sharon Whitney, Olean, New York; 2 brothers, Terry Brooks, Buffalo, New York, Brett Brooks, Cuba, New York.

He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Arthur Kettle, and Clifford "Doby" Brooks III.

Friends may call at the family home on Wednesday morning at 9:00 A.M. followed by services in the Coldspring Longhouse at 10:00 A.M.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York.

Burial will be in Brooks Family Cemetery, Killbuck, New York.
