Donald Weaver

Donald Weaver, 61, of Athens, Tennessee, formerly of Salamanca, New York, died July 5, 2011, in Knoxville, Tennessee, following a long illness.

Born April 13, 1950, in Jamestown, New York, he was the son of the late Vincent and Evagene Betz Weaver.

Mr. Weaver was married November 17, 2001, in Salamanca, New York, to the former Grace McStraw, who survives.

Mr. Weaver was a tractor-trailer instructor for BTTI for six years, and was an over the road transporter for over ten years. He had also worked at American Locker in Ellicottville for over 20 years.

He enjoyed taking rides through the Smokey Mountains, and was an avid fisherman and enjoyed music.

Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Tressa Manning, Salamanca, NY, Nina Weaver, Salamanca, NY; one son, Donald Weaver II, Salamanca, NY; three stepdaughters, Misty (Bradley) Windnazle, Cassadaga, NY, Kelly Gleason, Stanton, MI, Brenda (Kenneth) Mackinni, Graylin, MI; three stepsons, Paul McStraw, Calhoun, TN, Ernest (Tracey) McStraw, Athens, TN, Frank Ambrose, Evans, NY; one sister, Anna (David) Garza, Buffalo, NY; four brothers, David (Elizabeth) Weaver, Salamanca, NY, Daniel Weaver, Versailles, NY, Joseph Weaver, Versailles, NY, Gary Weaver, Jamestown, NY; 5 grandchildren; several step-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, William Weaver, who passed in 2006.

There will be no visitation.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2011, at 4 p.m., at the Free Methodist Church in Salamanca, New York, with Pastor Sam Stull officiating.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York.
