Dorothy Linnan

Dorothy Linnan, age 85, formerly of 320 Center Street, Salamanca, New York died Thursday, September 23, 2010 at her daughter's home in Melbourne, Fla.

Born on July 18, 1925 in Salamanca, New York she was the daughter of the late Fred & Margarite Shearer Rettberg. She was married to Mr. Roger Linnan who predeceased her.

Mrs. Linnan had been employed by New York Telephone for over 40 years retiring in 1978.

She had been a member of the United Congregational Methodist Church. She enjoyed bowling.

Surviving are: a daughter, Patricia (Dennis) Palmer, Melbourne, Fla.; a granddaughter, Nicole Chambers, Melbourne, Fla.; 3 great grandchildren, Derrick, Megan, Ashley all of Melborne, Fla.; a brother, Don (Ingrid) Rettberg, Rochester, New York; a sister, Donna Rettberg, New Albion, New York; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Monday, September 27, 2010 from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. noon at which time funeral services will be held with Pastor Joshua Schallert, of the United Congregational Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Crawford Cemetery, Salamanca, New York.
