Elizabeth E. Smith

Elizabeth E. Smith, 95, of Salamanca, NY died Monday, February 20, 2023 at the Salamanca Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Born July 4, 1927 in Salamanca, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frank E. and Mabel Harrison Smith.

She was a graduate of Salamanca High School, Class of 1945 and completed a medical secretarial course at Jamestown Business Institute.

Elizabeth had been employed as a Ward Clerk at the former Salamanca District Hospital, retiring in 1989. She had previously been employed with Blake Chiropractic Associates in Rochester, NY.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, where she served on the Altar Guild.

She is survived by a cousin, Richard Harrison, of Rochester, NY.

There will be no visitation.

A private committal service will be held at Wildwood Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to St. Mary’s Episcopal Church Memorial Fund, 99 Wildwood Avenue, Salamanca, NY 14779.
