Eugene "Jack" Frost
Eugene C. "Jack" Frost, age 68, of 44 Fairmont Avenue, Salamanca, New York died Thursday evening, March 24, 2011 at Olean General Hospital, Olean, New York.
Born on December 3, 1942 in Salamanca, New York he was the son of the late Eugene and Delia Gates Frost. He was married on October 14, 1967 to the former Shirley Webster who survives.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Germany.
Mr. Frost was employed as a Police Officer at the Salamanca Police Department for 25 years prior to his retirement.
He was a member of The American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post #535, the Veterans of Foreign Wars John F. Ahrens Post #5296, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving besides his wife are: a daughter, Rebecca (Carl) Springer, Richmond, VA; a son, Eugene "L J" (Heather) Frost, Woodbridge, VA; 3 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by 2 sisters, Shirley Beiling and Lorraine Metzler.
There will be no visitation.
A memorial service will be held in O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 11 A.M. with Rev. Michael Lonto, pastor of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Green Cemetery, Great Valley, New York.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Salamanca Public Library or the donor's choice.
