Evelyn Rappold

Mrs. Evelyn Rappold, age 80, of Ellicott Street, Salamanca, New York died Friday, October 17, 2008 at her home following a long illness.

Born on June 1, 1928 in Salamanca, New York she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Harriet Young Bailey. She was married to Mr. Howard "Skip" Rappold in Salamanca, New York in 1969 who survives.

Mrs. Rappold was employed at the former Bell's Grocery Store, Salamanca, New York.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Surviving besides her husband are: a daughter, Darlene "Dee" (Robert) Howard, Broad Street, Salamanca, New York; a son, Doug (Julie ) Hiller, Maples, New York; 4 grandchildren, Shannon (Charles) Hoag, Broad St., Salamanca, New York, Debra Evans, Olean, New York, Troy Hiller, Adam Hiller, both of Maples, New York; 7 great grandchildren, Dani Darlene Redeye, Bailey Redeye, both of Randolph, New York, Zarian Evans, Olean, New York, Hudson Hoag, Judy Redeye, Emily Redeye, Sarah Redeye, all of Salamanca, New York; 2 brothers, Douglas (Jane) Bailey, Kennedy, New York, Roger (Christine) Bailey, Lincoln Avenue, Salamanca, New York; a sister, Phyllis (Douglas "Dude") Herrick, Baker Street, Salamanca, New York; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Rene Darlene Fluent, 3 brothers, Leonard Bailey, James Bailey, Wesley Bailey,

There will be no visitation.

A memorial service will be held in the First Baptist Church on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Tim Griffith officiating.

Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Salamanca, New York.
