Evelyn Rolka
Evelyn Rolka, age 92, of 267 Broad Street, Salamanca, New York, formerly of Rochester, New York, Oakland, California, and Evansville, Indiana died late Sunday evening, June 13, 2010.
Born on May 29, 1918 in Cisne, Illinois she was the daughter of the late O. W. and Ruth Farieligh Golden. She had been married to Roy Marsh, who predeceased her. She was later married on November 10, 1952 to Mr. Stanley Rolka who predeceased her on August 1, 1974.
Mrs. Rolka was employed as a Lab Technician at the former Salamanca District Hospital prior to her retirement.
She was a former member of the women of the Moose Lodge #1002 and the Ladies Auxiliary to the Railroad Fireman.
Surviving are: 1 son, James R. (Billie) Marsh, Tulsa, Oklahoma; 2 daughters, Alice M. (Glen) Garrett, Fairfield, Illinois, Marilyn R. Siemone, Fairfield, Illinois; 8 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; 5 sisters, Maxine Whitlock, Inverness, Fla., Iola Maeda, Petaluna, California, Pearl McNelly, Denver, Colorado, Kathryn Anderson, Long Beach, California, Mary Tice, Reseada, California; 3 brothers, O. W. Golden, Chicago, Illinois, G. D. Golden, Cocoa Beach, Fla., Burt Golden, Lompac, California; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Muril Golden; and a daughter, Carolyn Sue Puckett.
There will be no visitation.
Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Salamanca, New York.
