Fay O. Rzucek Webster

Mrs. Fay O. Rzucek Webster, age 85, formerly of Erie Street, Salamanca, New York died early Monday morning, December 23, 2013 at the Absolut of Salamanca, Salamanca, New York.

Born October 19, 1928 in Salamanca, New York, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Helen Adams Painter. She was married on June 12, 1948 to Mr. John Rzucek, who predeceased her in 1983. She later married Mr. Asher Webster, who predeceased her in 1998.

Fay worked as a health aid in the Salamanca area for many years. She had also worked for the Salamanca Board of Elections.

She was a member of the House of Prayer, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars John F. Ahrens Post #5296, the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post #535, the Holy Cross Club, and was a former member of the Women of the Moose Lodge #60. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed looking in on friends and family.

Surviving are: 4 daughters, Sharon Aiken, Wildwood, FL, Michelle (Edward) Thompson, Carrollton, NY, Patricia Jardet, Knoxville, TN, Laurie (Bob Rockwell) Rzucek, Little Valley, NY; 2 sons, Jan (Jane) Rzucek, John Rzucek, both of Salamanca, NY; a son-in-law, Michael Ostrowski, Amherst, NY; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Lauren (Patricia) Painter, Las Vegas, NV; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by 1 daughter, Cathy Ostrowski a granddaughter, Sarah Rzucek, 4 brothers, Thomas Painter, Myron Painter, Richard Painter, and Wayne Painter.

Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Thursday from 7 – 9 p.m. and on Friday at the House of Prayer Church, Highland Avenue, Salamanca from noon – 1 p.m. when funeral services will be held with Pastor Robert Goode, officiating.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca, New York.
