Fay Vail Dry
Fay Vail Dry, 88, of Salamanca, NY died September 30, 2024 following a long illness.
Born December 7, 1935 in Great Valley, NY she was the daughter of the late John and Grace Walton Vail. She was married July 6, 1957 at the former St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church in Salamanca to Victor Dry, who predeceased her in 2017.
A 1953 graduate of Salamanca Central High School, she spent most of her career in the banking industry.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards, singing, reading, and cheering on the Buffalo Bills. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish.
Surviving are: two daughters, Mary Kay Rosenzweig, Webster, NY, Ann (Andrew) Rose, Delmar, NY; a son, Martin (Cara) Dry, Glendale, AZ; six grandchildren, Kyle Rosenzweig, Greece, NY, Ethan Rosenzweig, Webster, NY, Matthew (Maria) Dry, Brandon Dry, Martina Dry, all of Glendale, AZ, Jason Rose, Phoenix, AZ; two great-grandchildren, Christopher and Jayden Dry, both of Glendale, AZ; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Louise Smythe and Mary Hain, and four brothers, William Vail, John Vail, Robert Vail, and infant, James Vail.
There will be no visitation.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca, NY with Deacon Michael Anderson officiating.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be sent to the Salamanca Public Library, 155 Wildwood Avenue, Salamanca, NY.
