Felix Puvel, age 94, of 334 Broad Street, Salamanca, New York died Saturday (March 28, 2009) at the Absolut of Salamanca, New York
Born on March 17, 1914 in Salamanca, New York in Salamanca, New York he was the son of the late Michael and Stella Piodlo Puvel. He was married to the former Harriett John on June 11, 1948 who survives.
He was employed as Cabinet Maker for the former Fancher Furniture Company, Salamanca, New York and Jamestown Sterling, Jamestown, New York prior to his retirement.
Mr. Puvel was a former member of Holy Cross Athletic Club.
Surviving are: a daughter, Phyllis (Brian) Lavelle-Bamberg, North Tonawanda, New York; 4 grandchildren, Hillarie (Michael) Mcnally) Lattimer, Voorhees, New Jersey, Brandon Lattimer, Voorhees, New Jersey, John P. (Meredeth) Lavelle, Tonawanda, New York, Nicholas Lavelle, Philadelphia, Pa.; a great granddaughter, Madeline Lavelle, Tonawanda, New York; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Cindy Lattimer; 7 brothers, John Puvel, Frank Puvel, Joseph Puvel, William Puvel, Stanley Puvel, Paul Puvel, Harry Puvel; a sister, Theresa Morrison. Friends may call on at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM
Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 12:00 PM with Deacon Michael Anderson of Our Lady of Peace Officiating.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca, New York.
