Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, & Friend

Florence Meacham, 75, of Kill Buck Road, Great Valley, NY died Thursday evening, July 12, 2018 at Olean General Hospital, Olean, NY.

Born May 7, 1943 in Salamanca, NY , she was the daughter of the late William Chamberlain Sr. and Maxine Waite. She was married in Salamanca on November 2, 1958 to Terry Meacham Sr., who predeceased her on November 7, 2014.

She had been employed as a home health care aide for over 15 years with Hospice & Home Health Care, Little Valley, NY. Later, she did private home health care in her retirement.

She was a member of Healing Reigns Fellowship, Salamanca and the Eldred Koinonia Church. She was a member of the Salamanca Blue Devils Sports Booster Club and ran the concession stand at Crowley Park with her family. She was known for her “Grandma’s Chili”. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, sitting on her back porch and watching her humming birds.

Surviving are: 4 daughters, Eileen (Chuck) Miller, Pittsburgh, PA, Crystal (Edward) Sponeybarger, Kill Buck, NY, Aletha (Ronald) Case, Ortonville, MI, Sherri (Karl) Rowland, Great Valley, NY; 2 sons, Terry Jr. (Elizabeth) Meacham, Madison, AL, Jarrod (Bridgette) Meacham, Murfreesboro, TN; 22 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Jack (Marlene Winship) Feichter, Salamanca, NY, William (Debbie) Chamberlain, Dayton, TN; 4 sisters, Bonnie Gendrue, Salamanca, NY, Della (Mike) Kelly, Salamanca, NY, Martha (Dale) Hunter, CA., Marie (Larry) Eastman, Dayton, TN; her extended family, Lisa Wissert, Pittsburgh, PA, Carol (William) Fisher, Killbuck, NY.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Sunday, July 15, 2018 from 5 - 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Monday at 4 p.m. with Rev. Wallace Mapes of the Healing Reigns Fellowship officiating.

Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery.
