Frances L. Nickola

Frances L. Nickola, age 93, formerly of Ellicott Street, Great Valley, New York died Sunday (September 27, 2009) at the Absolut of Salamanca, Salamanca, New York.

Born on February 23, 1916 in Salamanca, New York she was the daughter of the late Frank and Emma Talbert Lavoskey. She was married to Mr. Joseph Nickola who predeceased her February 15, 1992.

Mrs. Nickola was a member of the former First Congregational Church, the UTU Ladies Auxiliary, and the United Methodist Women’s Group. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Also, she was an avid gardener.

Surviving are: 1 son, Robert (Susan) Nickola, Salamanca, New York; 3 granddaughters, Deb (Tim) McCarter, Mississippi, Cheryl Goss, Dunkirk, New York, Tracey (Casey Clebowski) Nickola, Lovettsville, VA; 3 great grandsons, Aaron McCarter, Jamestown, New York, Kyle Goss, Dunkirk, New York, Carter Nickola, Lovettsville, VA; one great granddaughter, Brinnay Nickola, Lovettsville, VA; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a daughter Bev Krysttofik and one sister Charlotte “June” Talbot.

Friends may call on Wednesday (September 30, 2009) from 10:30 – 11:00 at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on at which time funeral services will be held. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Salamanca, New York.
