Francis S. Nolan
Mr. Francis S. Nolan, 89, of Salamanca, NY died Thursday, May 23, 2024 at home following a short illness.
Born February 24, 1935 in Port Jervis, NY, he was the son of the late Sylvester and Ruth Morris Nolan.
He was a graduate of Salamanca High School, Class of 1953.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Europe.
Francis was employed as a machinist at Corning Glass in Bradford, PA for over 40 years, prior to his retirement.
He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish and the American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post 535. He was a motorcycle enthusiast who enjoyed off-road riding, shooting guns, and loved to build remote control helicopters and drones. He was an avid Buffalo Bills and NY Yankees fan.
Surviving are: a brother, Robert Nolan, Cambridge Springs, PA, and a niece, Shelley Lamont, Gainsville, FL.
He was predeceased by a brother, James Nolan.
Per his request, there will be no visitation.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca, NY.
