Frederick Rozler
Mr. Frederick Rozler, age 63, of Sawmill Run, Little Valley, New York died Sunday, September 13, 2009 at the home of his son, Andrew Rozler, 400 Front Avenue, Salamanca, New York.
Born on May 28, 1946 in Salamanca, New York he was the son of the late Carl and Gladys Hall Rozler.
He was a veteran of U.S. Army 421st Transportation Company of the 5th Army serving from 1966-72. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device, the Vietnam Service Medal with the Bronze Service Star. Mr. Rozler was employed for the Cattaraugus County Department of Public Works in Little Valley, New York. He was a member of the NYS Trappers Association, NRA, and was an avid hunter & outdoorsman. He was a Salamanca sports fan. He received the Seneca Council God & Country Award with the Boy Scouts of America.
Surviving are: 2 sons, Andrew “Drew” (Jodie Isaman) Rozler, Salamanca, New York, Todd (Terra) Rozler, Salamanca, New York; a daughter, Heather Rozler, Jimersontown, New York; a sister, Barbara Hutchison, Little Valley, New York; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by 2 sisters, Vivian Bantin and Beverly O’Connor.
Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Wednesday and Thursday from 3-5 & 7-9 P.M.
Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Friday morning at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Wallace Mapes, pastor of the Healing Reigns Fellowship officiating.
Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
