Gail McKenna

Mrs. Gail McKenna, age 68, of Hungry Hollow Road, Great Valley, New York died Tuesday evening, August 10, 2010 at Erie County Medical Center, Buffalo, New York following a short illness.

Born on February 13, 1942 in Salamanca, New York she was the daughter of Mecanna Sartori Metzler, Salamanca, New York and the late Malcolm Metzler. She was married on May 11, 1962 to Mr. Patrick McKenna who survives.

Mrs. McKenna was a graduate of Salamanca High School.

She was employed by Salamanca Central School District for 20 years prior to her retirement.

Mrs. McKenna was a member of Our Lady of Pace Parish, Elkdale Country Club, Beta Sigma Phi Chapter XI Upsilon.

Surviving besides her husband and mother are: 3 sons, Shawn (Lisa) McKenna, Killbuck, New York, Scott (Cindy) McKenna, Dallas, TX, Michael (Kathryn) McKenna, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, ; a daughter, Beth (Marc) Gelefsky, Fair Lawn, NJ; 8 grandchildren, Jarrett McKenna, Lucas McKenna, Killbuck, New York, Megan McKenna, Patrick McKenna, Kayla McKenna, Dallas, TX, Kyle McKenna, Conor McKenna, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, Rachel Gelefsky, Fair Lawn, NJ; a brother, Charles (Rose) Metzler, West Seneca, New York ; several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation

A memorial mass will be held at Our Lady of Peace Parish on Saturday at 11:30 AM with Rev. Patrick Melfi as celebrant.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York.
