George Brace
George E. Brace, age 63, of Leonard Run Road, Limestone, NY, died Saturday, March 5, 2011, in his home following a long illness.
Born on July 10, 1947, in Addison, New York, he was the son of the late Chauncey and Ivaline Allen Brace.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp.
Mr. Brace was employed at the former Fancher Furniture Company, the former Salco Fixtures, both of Salamanca, New York, Disney Land in California, and several plants in Indiana.
In his younger days, he enjoyed roller skating. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and being outside.
Surviving are: a daughter, Arlene (Patrick) Smith, Limestone, New York; a step daughter, Lou (Jeff) Harrison, Salamanca, New York; five grandchildren, Justin Gebauer, Salamanca, New York, Dusti Ginnery, Salamanca, New York , Dylan Kaltenbach, Noah Smith, Collin Smith, all of Limestone, New York; 2 great grandchildren, Parker Gebauer, Salamanca, New York, Ezra Calkins, Salamanca, New York; seven sisters, Ivaline Heffner, Tressa (Delos) Giles, both of Mansfield, PA, Grace (Donald) Weaver, Athens, Tennessee, Lavina Brace, Rosa Chapman, both of Salamanca, NY, Connie Brace, Plainville, Indiana, Florence (Larry) Maupin, Florida; three brothers, Chauncey (Pat) Brace, Salamanca, NY, Cleo Brace, New York, LaVerne Brace, North Otto, NY; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by: two sisters, Amanda Tice and Cora Boutwell; and three brothers, Bernard Brace, Jesse Brace, and Stanley Brace.
Memorial visitation will be held at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY, on Wednesday from 11 A.M. to 12 P.M. noon at which time memorial services will be held with Pastor Sam Stull of the Free Methodist Church, officiating.
Full military honors will be conducted by members of the American Legion Post #535 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars John F. Ahrens Post #5296.
