George Hogle

George Hogle, 61, of Salamanca, NY died early Friday morning, January 13, 2017 at the Olean General Hospital.

Born October 7, 1955 in Salamanca, NY, he was the son of the late Norman and Betty Mitchell Hogle. He was married on September 14, 2003 in Allegany State Park to the former Dora Kelley, who survives.

Mr. Hogle was an Elvis fan and had once worked security at Graceland. He was also known as a “junk collector”.

Surviving besides his wife are: three sons, LeRoy Hogle, Gifford, PA, Jason Hogle, Albion, NY, Ty, St. Mary’s, PA; three daughters, Betty Hogle, Salamanca, NY, Daisy Matya, Olean, NY, Angel Nichols, Cattaraugus, NY; fourteen grandchildren; two sisters, Diane Hogle, Frances Hogle, both of Little Valley, NY; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Dorothy Hogle, a granddaughter, Morgan Ann Howland, and a grandson, Kyler James Hogle .

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 27, 2016 in the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River St, Salamanca, NY with Pastor Charles Elwell officiating.
