Gertrude Richardson

Mrs. Gertrude A. Richardson, 95, formerly of 30 Hardys Corners Road, Franklinville, New York, died Sunday morning (April 25, 2010) at the Absolut of Salamanca, Salamanca, New York.

Born May 29, 1914 in Olean, New York she was the daughter of the late Bertie & Ella Deyoe Thayer. She was married to Mr. Nelson “Amos” Richardson who predeceased her.

Mrs. Richardson co-owned and was the bookkeeper for the family farm, masonry, & spraypainting business with her husband until her retirement.

She loved her animals and her vegetable garden. She had a kind heart and donated to various organizations.

Surviving are a grandson David (Tina ) Richardson, Killbuck, New York; 2 great grandsons, Zackary Richardson & Mitchell Richardson.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Joyce Richardson.

There will be no visitation, but a memorial dinner will be held in the future at the convenience of the family.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc, Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York.
