Glen M. Terhune

Glen M. Terhune, age 81, of Front Avenue Salamanca, New York died early Sunday morning, December 30, 2007 at Olean General Hospital following a long illness.

Born March 16, 1926 in Salamanca, New York he was the son of the late Leo and Georgia Milks Terhune.

Mr. Terhune was married March 4, 1967 at the Free Methodist Church Parsonage to the former Maxine Bargy who survives.

Mr. Terhune was employed in the finishing department of the former Fancher Furniture Company, Salamanca, New York and King Windows of Salamanca and Little Valley, New York.

He enjoyed wood working, carpeting and watching sports but most of all being with family and especially his grandchildren.

Surviving besides his wife are 4 daughters: Sherry (Ross) Ledsome, Fillmore Avenue, Salamanca, New York, Cathy (Jack) Stoltz, East State Street, Salamanca, New York, Marilyn "Dusty" Johnson and Susan (Robert) Parmantier both of Canadagia NY; 2 sons, Gergory (Katy) Terhune, Andover, NY, Gary (LeeAnn) Terhune, Amherst, NY; 2 brothers, Joseph Terhune, Little Valley Road, Salamanca, NY, Richard (MaryAnn) Terhune, Bucktooth Run, Salamanca, NY; 13 grandchildren, some great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Dear brother and sister in law, Naomi Bargy and family also a special person Brian (Christine) Murphy.

He was predeceased by 1 sister Themla Parr and 7 brothers Louis, David, Kenton, William, Leo, Robert, and Paul Terhune.

Friends may call on Thursday from 2 - 4 & 7-9 P.M. at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home with Rev. Stephen Crowell of the Great Valley United Methodist Church officiating.

Burial will be in Crawford Cemetery, Salamanca, New York.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society of the American Heart Association.
