Glenn W. Oliver

Mr. Glenn W. Oliver age 73 of Cleo Street, Salamanca, NY died late Friday afternoon at the Absolut of Salamanca following a short illness.

Born November 23, 1938 in Fenton, NY, he was the son of the late Frank and Helen Palmer Oliver.

Mr. Oliver was married Feb. 15, 1964 in the St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church to the former Mary Williams, who survives.

Mr. Oliver was veteran of the US Army serving in the Middle East during the early 1960's.

He was employed as a service technician by Sears for over 25 years throughout the southern tier, retiring in 1998.

Mr. Oliver was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, logging for firewood and milling.

He was a member of the North American Hunting Club.

Surviving besides his wife are 1 son, Murray (Denise) Oliver of Salamanca, NY; 3 sisters, Joyce (Hugh) Kearney, Bainbridge, NY, Judy Borrows, Great Falls, MT, Nancy Tuzes, Virginia Beach, VA; 1 brother, Arthur (Mary Ann) Oliver, Ninevech, NY and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Oliver was predeceased by a sister, Genny Boytin and one brother, Edward Oliver.

Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Tuesday, from 12-2 pm at which time funeral services will be held with Pastor Joshua Schallert of the United Congregational Methodist Church officiating.

Burial will be in Crawford Cemetery, Salamanca, NY
