Gregory T. Jackson

Gregory T. Jackson, 71, of Salamanca, NY, died Thursday, June 27, 2024 at home following a long illness.

Born March 30, 1953 in Buffalo, NY he was the son of the late Buddy and Shirley Luke Jackson.

He was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians and of the Turtle Clan.

He attended Batavia High School, Batavia, NY.

Greg had been raised around horses his whole life, working with his mother. He later became a horse trainer with several area racetracks spanning over four years.

He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing on his boat and was an avid photographer of the outdoors.

Surviving are: a sister, Deborah Jackson, Salamanca, NY; three brothers, Timothy Jackson, CA, Brian Jackson, Stewart, FL, Buddy Jackson JR., Warren, PA.

He was predeceased by four brothers, Courtney D. Jackson, Bert Jackson, Dean Durlin, and Michael Moore.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Monday, July 1, 2024 from 4 – 7pm.

Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11am with Mike Crouse, of God’s Missionary Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Hillside Haven Cemetery, Steamburg, NY.
