Harriett Puvel

Harriett Puvel, 96, formerly of 334 Broad Street, Salamanca, NY died Thursday, March 15, 2018 at the Absolut of Salamanca.

Born June 15, 1921 in Salamanca, NY, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Myrtle Rice John. She was married on June 11, 1948 to Felix Puvel, who predeceased her on March 28, 2009.

Mrs. Puvel enjoyed embroidering, gardening, and cooking.

Surviving are: a daughter, Phyllis (Brian) Bamberg, North Tonawanda, NY; four grandchildren, Hillarie (Michael McNally) Lattimer, Voorhees, NJ, Brandon (Nina) Lattimer, Voorhees, NJ, John P. (Meredeth) Lavelle, Lockport, NY, Nicholas Lavelle, Lockport, NY; a great-granddaughter, Madeline Lavelle, Lockport, NY; several nieces and nephews; a cousin, Kevin (Ann) Kinnaird, Great Valley, NY; and a close friend, Sue Swetland, Salamanca, NY.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Cindy Lattimer; three sisters, Helen Kinnaird, Pauline Young, Kay Cramer, and a brother, William Kitchen.

There will be no visitation.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca, NY.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.
