Harry Myers

Mr. Harry C. Myers, age 78, of Killbuck, New York died Friday, April 3, 2015 at Olean General Hospital, Olean, New York.

Born on January 11, 1937 in Salamanca, New York, he was the son of the late Harry and Helen Pincoski Myers. He was married on October 8, 1960 to the former Elaine Hamilton, who survives.

He was a veteran of United States Army serving from 1956-58.

Mr. Myers was employed as an Electrician at Allegany State Park. He also had been employed at the Allegany State Park Police and Fancher Furniture Company.

Mr. Myers enjoyed golfing, fishing, hiking, and baseball.

Surviving are: 2 daughters, Laurie (Thomas) Kelly, Orchard Park, New York, Karon Koniak, Randolph, New York; a son, Robert (Sue) Myers, Charlotte, North Carolina; 5 grandchildren, Ryan Kelly, Kaitlyn Kelly, both of Orchard Park, New York, Jordyn Koniak, Randolph, New York, Austin Myers, Grant Myers, Charlotte , North Carolina.

He was predeceased by a sister, Betty Ross.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Friday from 5 -8 p.m.

A memorial mass will be held on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Peace Parish with Rev. Patrick Melfi, pastor, as celebrant.

Full military honors will be conducted by members of the American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post #535 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars John F. Ahrens Post #5296.
