Helen Agnelli
Mrs. Helen T. Agnelli, age 90, of 653 Broad Street, Salamanca, New York died Monday, March 1, 2010 at Olean General Hospital, Olean, New York, shortly after being admitted.
Born on April 19, 1919 in Salamanca, New York she was the daughter of the late Floyd & Mary Preston Chamberlain. On April 11, 1948 she was married to Mr. Peter J. Agnelli who predeceased her on June 11, 1976.
Mrs. Agnelli was a graduate of Salamanca High School and was a lifelong resident of Salamanca.
In 1963, she and her late husband built the Spinning Wheel Restaurant, which they operated for 13 years. They were widely known for their homemade pizza. The restaurant was sold in February 1976.
She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish, Altar & Rosary Society, and S.C.O.U.T.
Surviving are: a nephew, Charles (Mary Ann) Chamberlain and niece Maryann Metka of Salamanca. Also, many great nieces and nephews and several cousins survive her.
She was predeceased by a brother William R. Chamberlain.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 4 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Parish with Rev. Patrick Melfi, Pastor, as celebrant.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca, New York.
Family suggests memorials to the Salamanca Senior Center or the donor’s choice.
