Inge Hodara

Mrs. Inge Hodara, age 80, of Salamanca, New York died Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Olean General Hospital, Olean, New York following a long illness.

Born on June 1, 1934 in Bad Wimpfen, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Heinrich and Hedwig Klenk Pfeiffer. She was married on December 18, 1954 in Bad Wimpfen, Germany to Mr. Willard Hodara who predeceased her on October 7, 2000.

Mrs. Hodara was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish. She enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening especially taking pride in her rose bushes.

Surviving are: 2 sons, Anthony (Marie) Hodara, Salamanca, New York, Bruce (Kris) Hodara, Great Valley, New York; 5 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a sister, Waltraub Schilling, Bad Wimpfen, Germany; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by 2 granddaughters, Michelle Hodara, Sonya Hodara, a sister, Heda Ohms, 2 brothers, Heinz Pfeiffer and Horst Pfeiffer.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M.

Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday morning at 10 A.M. with Deacon Michael Anderson, of Our Lady of Peace Parish, officiating followed by committal prayers at Calvary Cemetery.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca, New York.
