Irene Frank

Mrs. Irene Frank, 97, of East State Street, Salamanca, New York died Friday morning, March 27, 2015 at the Absolut at Salamanca, Salamanca, New York surrounded by her family.

Born October 30, 1917 in Bradford, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late John and Julia Connors DeBoy. She was married in 1947 to Mr. Thomas Frank, who survives.

She had been employed at Corning in Bradford, Pennsylvania and the former George Weston’s Bakery in Salamanca.

Mrs. Frank was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish (the former St. Patrick’s Church). She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Surviving besides her husband are: two sons, Thomas J. Frank Jr., Salamanca, NY, Timothy (Karen) Frank, Leland, NC; a daughter-in-law, Gayle Frank, Salamanca, NY; eight grandchildren, Terry (Robert) Latehaw, Lamoine, ME, Sheila (Jim) Frank, Hancock, ME, Christine (John) Wells, Hancock, ME, Bambi & Pete, Julia (Myron) Wilson, Salamanca, NY, Joy (Donald) McClure, Salamanca, NY, Timothy (Sue) Frank Jr., Copperas Cove, TX, Kristie (Brad) Davis, Greensboro, NC; seventeen great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; a brother, Russell (Diane) DeBoy, Ocala, FL; two sisters, Alice Couch, Westline, PA, Jean Kazmarski, Buffalo, NY; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, James Frank, three brothers, James DeBoy, Francis DeBoy, and Richard DeBoy.

There will be no visitation.

A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Peace Parish with Rev. Patrick Melfi, pastor, as celebrant.

Entombment will be in Calvary Mausoleum, Salamanca, New York.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.
