Irene Subulski

Irene Subulski, age 89, of Liberty Street, Salamanca, New York died Wednesday afternoon, February 4, 2009 at Olean General Hospital, Olean, New York.

Born on September 27, 1919 in Salamanca, New York she was the daughter of the late John & Catherine Rojek Subulski.

Irene was employed in the Dietary Department at the former Salamanca District Hospital for over 30 years prior to her retirement.

She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Parish (Holy Cross Worship Site) and the Rosary Society. She enjoyed crafting, flowers, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are a son, Gary (Darlene) Subulski, Killbuck, New York; 2 grandchildren, John (Laura) Subulski, Vestal, New York, Kimberly Subulski, Boulder, Colorado; 2 great grandchildren; a sister, Alice (Joseph) Wujastyk, Liberty Street, Salamanca, New York.

She was predeceased by a good friend, Walter Wujastyk.

Friends may call on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday morning at 9:30 A.M. in Our Lady of Peace Parish (Holy Cross Worship Site) with Rev. Piotr Zaczynski, pastor, as celebrant.
