Irma Forness

Irma Forness, of 114 East Street, Salamanca, New York died Sunday morning (January 18, 2009) at the Olean General Hospital, Olean, New York

Born on September 28, 1932 in Salamanca, New York she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Eugenia Coffaro Wunsch. She was married on May 7, 1955 to Richard  Forness who survives

Mrs. Forness was employed as a Teacher’s Aide at Salamanca Central School prior to her retirement.

She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Church, Our Lady of Peace  Altar & Rosary Society, Newman Reading Circle, , Holy Cross Athletic Club.

Surviving besides her husband are: 2 sons, Thomas (Mary) Forness, Salamanca, New York, Dana Forness, Jamestown, New York; a daughter, Ann (Dwayne) Fleming, Colden, New York; 5 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; a sister, June Winsor, Salamanca, New York; several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Our Lady of Peace (St. Patrick’s Chapel)on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at 10;00 A.M. with Rev. Piotr Zaczynski, pastor, as celebrant.

Burial will be in Green Cemetery, Great Valley, New York.
