Ivaline Brace

Mrs. Ivaline R. Brace, age 89, of Great Valley Street, Salamanca, New York died Thursday morning, December 10, 2009 the Pines Health & Rehabilitation Center in Olean, New York.

Born on March 22, 1920 in Elkland, Pa. she was the daughter of the late Eddie & Rose McCaslin Allen. She was married on November 18, 1937 in Elkland, Pa. to Mr. Chauncey J. Brace who predeceased her.

Mrs. Brace enjoyed puzzles, needlepoint, country music and she loved her Christmas Village.

Surviving are: 4 sons, Chauncey (Pat) Brace, Salamanca, New York, George Brace, Limestone, New York, Cleo Brace, California, LaVerne Brace, East Otto, New York; 7 daughters, Ivaline Heffner, Tressa (Delos) Giles, both of Mansfield, Pa., Grace (Donald) Weaver, Olean, New York, Lavina Brace, Rosa Chapman, both of Salamanca, New York, Connie Brace, Florence (Larry) Maupin, both of Indianapolis, Indiana; 65 grandchildren ; 16 great grandchildren; many great-great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by 2 daughters, Amanda Tice, Cora Boutwell, and 3 sons, Bernard Brace, Jesse Brace, & Stanley Brace, 4 grandchildren, Amanda Lee Hinman, Earl Brace, Christopher Hefner, Anthony Tice, and a great granddaughter, Marissa Gleason.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Sunday from 1-2 P.M. at which funeral and committal services will be held with Pastor Sam Stull, of the Free Methodist Church officiating.

Burial will be in Woodhall, New York.
