James F. Fellows
Mr. James F. Fellows, 85, of Little Valley, New York died early Thursday, October 24, 2013 at W.C.A. Hospital, Jamestown, New York following a brief illness.
Born on February 5, 1928 in Salamanca, New York he was the son of the late Walter and Nellie Inman Fellows. He was married on July 2, 1955 in the Whig Street Church to the former Hazel Charlesworth who survives.
Mr. Fellows was a graduate of Salamanca Central High School.
He was a veteran of the United States Army serving with the Occupation Force in Japan.
Mr. Fellows was employed for 27 years at the former A & P Market in Little Valley, New York, Salamanca, New York, Olean, New York and Jamestown, New York as well as other area markets including Parkview Supermarket.
He was a member of the United Food Workers Union Local #1.
Surviving besides his wife are: 2 daughters, Nell Fellows, Great Valley, New York, Mary (David) Davis, Salamanca, New York; a son, Jeffrey Fellows, Mountlake Terrace, Washington; 3 grandsons, Harley (Melissa) Davis, Randolph, New York, Spencer (Samantha) Davis, Orchard Park, New York, Lark Davis, Russia; 3 great grandchildren; a sister, Virginia D'Angelo, Niagara Falls NY; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, John Fellows and a sister, Gertrude Lee.
Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Sunday from 4 – 8 P.M.
Funeral and committal services will be held on Monday at 11 am in the funeral home with Rene Adams of the Napoli Methodist Church officiating.
Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Salamanca, New York.
The family suggest memorials to the Salamanca Public Library Memorial Fund or the donor's choice.
