Janet Kozlowski
Janet Snow Kozlowski, age 79, of East Randolph, New York died Thursday evening, August 16, 2012 at The Absolut of Salamanca, New York.
Born on May 15, 1933 in Red House, New York she was the daughter of the late Sidney and Mary Heron Snow. On August 15, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois she was married to Mr. Lawrence Kozlowski who predeceased her on July 2, 1987.
She attended Fredonia State Teacher's College and the University of Alaska at Anchorage.
Mrs. Kozlowski was employed as a teacher for the Fairbanks School System, Fairbanks, Alaska. Previously, she had taught school in Wrangell, Alaska, Homestead, Florida, Dulce, New Mexico, and Mescalero, New Mexico. Upon her retirement from teaching, she had owned and operated the former Snowbird Antiques, East Randolph, New York.
She was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians and the Heron Clan.
Surviving are: a daughter, Valerie Kozlowski, Jamestown, New York; a son, Peter (Dana) Kozlowski, Randolph, New York; 6 granddaughters; 14 great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 P.M.
Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Monday morning at 10 A.M. with Deacon Michael Anderson, of Our Lady of Peace Parish, officiating.
Burial will be in Hillside Haven Cemetery, Steamburg, New York.
