Jason Grabowski

Jason A. Grabowski, age 34, of Hampton, VA died Tuesday, May 24, 2016 shortly after being admitted to Sonotara Care Complex, Hampton, VA.

Born February 15, 1982 in Olean, New York, he was the son of Stephen and Karen Greer Grabowski of Great Valley, New York.

He had Associate Degrees from Jamestown Community College, Chattanooga State Community College, and Delhi Community College.

Jason was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving with the 603 Army Air Division at Ft. Hunter Air Field in Savanna, GA. He served in Iraq in the War on Terrorism. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Army Service Ribbon.

He was employed by the City of Hampton at the NASA Steam Plant. He had also worked for the Department of Public Works in Salamanca, New York.

Surviving besides his parents are: a son, Owen Grabowski, Salamanca, NY; a brother, Thad (Ashley Frame) Grabowski; a niece and a nephew; his maternal grandmother, Jean Ann Greer, Salamanca, NY; his former wife, Brooke Grabowski, Salamanca, NY.

A Memorial Celebration for Jason will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the Great Valley Volunteer Fire Hall, Great Valley, New York from 3 - 7 p.m..

Burial will be in Green Cemetery, Great Valley, New York.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Owen Grabowski Memorial Fund, c/o of Community Bank, 103 Main Street, Salamanca, New York.
